Global Enchantment

Magic the Gathering is printed in many languages and played all over the world, but if you live in the United States you’re exposed to so much Magic that you may take it for granted. Having spoken with players in other countries, I’m often amazed at how different the experience can be in other places. I’d like to hear from voices outside of the US for this topic, though if you’re from the US and have stories from traveling abroad then by all means share them as well.

Here are a few topics that I’m aware of, but by no means is this an exhaustive list of items worth discussing:

  • Product availability
  • Cost
  • Local customs affecting group gatherings
  • Views of online Magic coverage
  • Format availability
  • Magic Online
  • Time zone challenges with online community participation

  1. I’ve been a casual player for eight years in Scotland, just moved over to Canada in time for GP Vancouver. I hope to document this from my perspective.
